Puddles are temporary water reservoirs: they collect rain, seep away, evaporate — and leave tra- ces. They never appear by chance, but always in the same depressions and hollows. In times of increasing dryness, their meaning shifts: they become indicators of hope, concern, and return.
The work documents puddles around Lake Wrietzensee, Germany: they were observed, map- ped, and classified into three categories — short-lived, medium-term, and persistent Along the route, blue signs mark the former locations of puddles. Each sign bears a number and a QR code linking to a documentary image of the puddle. The signs serve both as an informational infrastructure and as a monument to this fleeting body of water.
