To distingush different air-preesure areas they have names. In central Europe you can name it by taking over a private sponsorship (Wetterpate).
Animated by the wish to influence the weather and appropriate puddles in new ways, in December 2020 I officially named a low-pressure area „XUNAV“ - a feminine name meaning drizzle. XUNAV made many headlines in the Alpine region, but passed over Berlin without precipitation. Over several weeks, I followed and documented the life of XUNAV using satellite images, meteorological data and media reports.
