The Dissection of a Water Body

The multipart intstallation The Dissection of a Water Body (2023) is about making water bodies visible. Over one month in Antwerp, around seven hundred and fifty puddles were photographically documented after periods of rain. Following a meandering path, the puddle-watching routes were tracked by GPS. The photos were analysed, which revealed characteristics of shape and expansion in singular puddles. Through editing, they were gradually extracted step by step from their surroundings.

The exhibit showcases the transformation of eleven puddles through visual inversion and solarisation, forming a photo column.
